Tell us a little about who you are
I am Vietnamese, an American doctor of chiropractic, and a martial arts junkie.
Why is celebrating our APA Heritage important to you?
It’s important for Asians to have a voice, have a sense of pride and share with the world our rich culture. It’s important for others to understand us as we strive to understand them.
What’s your ethnic background and what do you appreciate about your APA heritage?
Vietnamese. I appreciate that we help make up this rich community known as Asians and that Asians make up the rich community of the world.
What is one of your favorite firearms and why?
Glock because it’s reliable like a Honda.
What’s a top firearms safety tip you can share?
Get proper instruction from day one.
What’s one of the hardest things you’ve ever accomplished?
Raising my children.
What’s an exciting firearms-related project or initiative you’re working on?
Coming up with a curriculum for firearms to be used in martial arts schools.
Where do you go for firearms news and culture?
Magazines. I’m old school that way.
What’s one thing you wish would change about the APA community?
We need a louder, more unified voice.
