Tell us a little about who you are
My name is Tony, I am a Vietnamese American, USMC VETERAN, Firearms Instructor, and a Content Creator!
Why is celebrating our APA Heritage important to you?
I believe that although being American is important, as we are a melting pot, it’s also important to understand your roots and to continue on with traditions of who you are.
What’s your ethnic background and what do you appreciate about your APA heritage?
VIETNAMESE! I appreciate all the efforts in recognizing our history and contributions that our previous generations went through to get us to where we are today!
Being a first generation born American, learning about how my family fled Vietnam as refugees and how they managed to climb from the bottom – that led me to who I am today. It’s nice to know their struggles, and it makes me grateful for being born here!
What is one of your favorite firearms and why?
Too easy! That’s my Springfield Kuna with a Nexus Firearms lower receiver and Atrius FRS device! Super fast, low recoil, accurate, and extremely controllable being a roller delayed system!
What’s a top firearms safety tip you can share?
Always know and practice your general weapons safety rules! Accidents happen when you get too comfortable!
What’s one of the hardest things you’ve ever accomplished?
Becoming a United States Marine! Best job I ever had!
What’s an exciting firearms-related project or initiative you’re working on?
Just continuing to grow as a content creator and offering free education to my viewers, while always striving to learn more myself! It’s been exciting to see every aspect of the gun world and meeting so many awesome people!
Where do you go for firearms news and culture?
YouTube!
What’s one thing you wish would change about the APA community?
More guns! A lot of members of our community still have a negative view of firearms, and I aim to have them embrace the 2A!
We already know that we have the best food!
